I have used Wordpress before to build some blogs and a marketing site. Both of which I have used for my personal profile. I did partner with a guy before who hired a developer to build a Wordpress website, but I never had first hand experience with it.

I thought it was heavy and that the only reason I would prefer to build something using Wordpress is if a client asked me specifically for it.
